As the President of YZ Enterprises, watching the news the past few days has been totally heartbreaking. However, watching the Nation come together to help has been incredible to watch. I was thinking last night how I could help, not just through monetary donations but with food as well. Then I thought about all the one pound bags of samples we have and decided to donate those — over 500lbs of cookies. But then I wanted to do something bigger than just Almondina, and I thought about this incredible community we have in Toledo. Therefore, Almondina will be holding a food drive on Tuesday, September 5th starting at 9:00am. In order to maximize the most foot traffic possible, we will be giving the first 150 people a one-pound bag of cookies. I’ve reached out to Channel 13 and they will be coming by the facility tomorrow to video and then air information about the drive tomorrow evening (Friday, September 1).
The drive will be at 1930 Indian Wood Circle at the Almondina factory. We are located right next to American Frame.
We are asking for any food products. We will be boxing everything here, and have already arranged transportation to Texas. Unfortunately, we cannot accept anything other than food.
